Tempura is a much healthier way to fry food, perfected by the Japanese over hundreds of years. Despite its popularity abroad, tempura is often badly replicated in restaurants in the west, and the results are not what you would find in Japan. In this class, you will get all the secrets to making perfectly crisp, light, healthy and delicious vegetables and seafood. The high temperature of the oil allows fresh vegetables to be cooked quickly, sealing in their nutrients and keeping all the good stuff! We'll show you how to master this often misunderstood cooking technique, and also some tips to keep your kitchen clean, tidy, and organized at the same time! Before the class you will receive the list of ingredients and equipment needed for the class. Most ingredients can easily be found in large supermarkets or Asian grocery stores. All our beginner classes are designed for home cooks and you will most likely have all the equipment already in your kitchen. You can be up to 4 people on 1 device in this class.
