Sushi requires no introduction, and it's usually the first thing people associate with Japanese cuisine. This class focuses on some of the most popular maki rolls found in sushi restaurants outside of Japan. We will make everything from scratch together and introduce you to the basic techniques needed to make amazing sushi at home. Before the class you will receive the list of ingredients and equipment needed for the class. Most ingredients can easily be found in large supermarkets or Asian grocery stores. All our beginner classes are designed for home cooks and you will most likely have all the equipment already in your kitchen. You can be up to 4 people on 1 device in this class. This class menu usually includes: - Cucumber roll - Salmon avocado roll - California roll - Crab gunkan - Negi roll In this class you will learn the following techniques: - Homemade sushi vinegar - How to wash and cook sushi rice - How to prepare fish for sushi rolls easily at home - Basic knife skills - Hosomaki (thin rolls) - Futomaki (fat rolls) - Uramaki (inside out rolls) - Temaki (hand rolls) - Gunkan (battleship sushi)
