Ramen is one of our most popular cooking classes, and this dish has become synonymous with Japan! Nothing beats a good bowl of delicious ramen noodles drenched in an umami rich broth. This class focuses on our soy based Shoyu Ramen, which is one of the most popular types of ramen worldwide. We will make everything from scratch together (apart from the noodles - check our advanced level classes for that) and introduce you to the basic techniques needed to make amazing ramen at home. Before the class you will receive the list of ingredients and equipment needed for the class. Most ingredients can easily be found in large supermarkets or Asian grocery stores. All our classes are designed for home cooks and you will most likely have all the equipment already in your kitchen. You can be up to 4 people on 1 device in this class. This class menu covers: - Shoyu Ramen with Chashu Pork Belly (the dish may change based on the seasons, check our advanced classes if you want to learn a particular type of ramen) In this class you will learn the following techniques: - Homemade ramen stock - Chashu pork belly - How to cook and prepare a bowl of ramen noodles - How to make "Tare" - Basic knife skills - Bamboo "Menma" - "Ajitamago" eggs
