REFUND POLICY
Refunds (updated July 1, 2025)
At Kimura’s Kitchen, we stand behind the quality of our classes, products, and spicy miso. That said, we know things happen. So here’s how we handle refunds, returns, and all that stuff.
Digital Services (Online Classes & Downloads)
Changed your mind? No worries.
-
You have a 14-day right of withdrawal on digital purchases (like online classes), in line with EU consumer law.
-
However, this right expires once the class has taken place or if you've started accessing the digital content before the 14 days are up.
So if you book a class and attend it right away, the refund window closes when the noodles hit the bowl. The same applies if you already downloaded the recipe PDF, since you are already accessing the content.
How to request:
Email us at info@kimuraskitchen.com with your order details within the 14-day window.
Physical Products (Books, Aprons, Caps, etc.)
We want you to love what you ordered. But if something shows up damaged or defective:
-
Please contact us within 7 days of receiving your item.
-
We’ll ask for a photo of the damage and get things sorted.
-
If we approve the return, you’ll need to send the item back to us.
-
Return shipping is at your expense.
-
Once we receive the item in its original (damaged) condition, we’ll refund or replace it—depending on stock availability.
We don’t offer refunds on items that arrived in good condition but were changed-of-mind, as our small business model doesn’t allow for broad returns.
Gift Cards
Due to the inherent nature of being a gift, our gift cards are non-refundable and non-exchangeable—they’re like a promise of good food and fun.
-
No expiration date. As long as Kimura’s Kitchen exists, your gift card is valid.
-
Can be used toward any eligible class or product listed on our site.
Please keep track of them—we can’t reissue them if lost.
A Few Extra Notes
-
Refunds (when approved) will be returned to your original payment method.
-
We don’t offer partial refunds for missed classes, late arrivals, or changed plans after the refund window has passed.
Class Cancellations
Need to cancel? No worries—we get that life happens.
You can cancel any class up to 48 hours before it starts, and we’ll issue a full refund, no questions asked.
If you cancel within 48 hours of the class, we won’t be able to offer a refund, partial or otherwise—our noodles are already in motion and the fresh ingredients are prepped just for you.
Thanks for understanding and respecting the prep that goes into every bowl!
If Kimura’s Kitchen cancels a class for any reason within our control (e.g., technical issues on our end, instructor illness, etc.), we’ll offer you:
-
A full refund, or
-
The chance to reschedule or choose a different class
If the cancellation is due to circumstances outside of our control—such as:
-
Widespread internet or electrical outages
-
Natural disasters
-
Worldwide event (you know, like that one)
-
War or terrorism
-
Cyber attacks
In such circumstances, we won’t be able to offer a refund. But we’ll do our best to work with you on rescheduling.
We always strive to keep the ramen rolling, but some things are out of our hands.
Changes to This Policy
Sometimes policies need a little seasoning. We might tweak this from time to time, and when we do, we’ll post the updated version here. Major changes? We’ll let you know.
